BLACK FOLKS CAMP TOO CELEBRATES INTERN TAYLOR AMES-ALEXANDER AS “PLAYER OF THE YEAR”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Standout Student-Athlete and Podcast Producer Leads Growth of Unity Blaze College and University Program(HBCU) segment.
Western North Carolina: Black Folks Camp Too proudly congratulates Taylor Ames-Alexander as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) “Player of the Year.” Hired as an HBCU intern over a year ago, Taylor has consistently demonstrated excellence, leadership, and vision within our company and beyond.
Now serving as the Executive Producer of our signature podcast, “It’s Bigger Than Camping,” Taylor has helped shape critical conversations around inclusion, accessibility and Unity in the outdoors. Her strategic insight has also played a vital role in aligning our Unity Blaze Program with HBCU colleges and universities.
As a student-athlete at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC, Taylor is not only a top-tier contributor in the office but also a standout on the softball field. Her ability to lead, create, and perform under pressure exemplifies the kind of talent we are honored to support and develop.
“We are incredibly proud of Taylor and all she’s accomplished,” said Earl B. Hunter Jr., Founder and President of Black Folks Camp Too. “Her contributions have been invaluable, and we hope to retain her after graduation, though we may lose her to Law School, which speaks volumes about her ambition and potential.”
As Black Folks Camp Too continues to expand its reach and mission, Taylor remains a shining example of what’s possible when opportunity meets talent. She’s amazing!
